TrademarkNow grows in the US and opens new New York office. TrademarkNow Achieves 575% Year-over-Year Growth In U.S. Client Base, Secures New U.S. Clients Kohl's, McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP and Ignite Brand Group, and Opens New, Larger NYC Office To Accommodate Growth

TrademarkNow®, a Helsinki-based legal technology company, today announced that the company achieved 575% year-over-year growth in its U.S. client base, since launching its U.S. operations last Fall. Since November 2014, the company's U.S. client roster has rapidly grown to include several well-known Fortune 1000 companies, law firms and branding agencies, including Kohl's, Hard Rock Cafe International (USA), VMWare, Google, Cliff Kuehn Law Office, McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP, Reinhardt LLP, FutureBrand, Brandsymbol, and Ignite Brand Group, to name a few. These new TrademarkNow clients join an already robust European client base.

In addition to growing its U.S. client base over the past year, TrademarkNow expanded the common law search component of NameCheck its trademark search product, in response to demand from the U.S. market. Since 90% of U.S. trademarks are not registered with the U.S. government, reviewing common law risk is a critical part of the trademark clearing process. NameCheck's common law search capabilities now includes 30 million U.S. company names and related information. This year TrademarkNow also expanded its common law search to include music artist, album, song, video, TV episode and App content from Apple's iTunes, as well as information from other digital marketplaces and app stores.

TrademarkNow was founded on the idea of applying machine learning, advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence to the manual efforts related to trademark clearing to increase process efficiency and effectiveness. TrademarkNow provides an intelligent web-based trademark management platform that is used by in-house legal teams, law firms and branding agencies for instant trademark search and watch results.

"Given our knowledge of the trademark law profession, informed by my previous work as a trademark attorney, we built a product that we believed solved a real day-to-day problem for trademark professionals. The rapid market adoption of our product over the past three years has proven that there definitely is a real market need for a solution like this," said Mikael Kolehmainen, TrademarkNow co-founder and CEO. "Having established a strong client base in Europe, it was a natural next step for us to go after the U.S. market. The response since we began this effort last Fall has been phenomenal. It is very clear that the U.S. trademark community is ready for innovation and looking for new, more efficient and effective ways to search and clear trademarks. Our U.S. client base growth over the past 12 months is a testament to that."

With the U.S. marketplace responding strongly to TrademarkNow, the company moved into a new, larger office space in New York City this month. The company's new office in the heart of Silicon Alley on East 28th Street will accommodate the company's planned growth in 2016. Currently, the heads of marketing, sales, and product for TrademarkNow all work from the company's New York City office.

"We're very pleased with our U.S. market growth, and the new clients who have recognized the positive impact that TrademarkNow has on their trademark clearing practice. The market is asking for an alternative to the slow, archaic legacy methods of clearing and watching trademarks, and we offer that solution. We have a strong product road map, our development team is hard at work constantly refining the algorithms that drive our platform, and our marketing and sales efforts are fueling our current momentum for continued growth in 2016" said Kolehmainen.
